William Thomas Morris was born in West Pittston, Pennsylvania on July 20, 1884. His entire lifetime was spent in the coal business. His father, Thomas J. Morris, was born in 1839 in Wales and emigrated from that country to the United States in 1864, where he first settled in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
For several decades, the William T. Morris Foundation has been proud to provide continued support for higher learning, medical research, United States military veterans, the performing arts, history and culture education, quality-of-life initiatives, and much more.
The William T. Morris Foundation only awards grants to IRS recognized, 501(c)(3) organizations. Grant requests are by Director referral only.
